 Children's Ministry

Every Sunday - 9:30 a.m.

Nursery -- 0 to 24 months

Pre-School -- 2 to 4 years

Children -- Kindergarten through 2nd grade

Kid's Zone -- 3rd grade through 5th grade

The Second Sunday of each month, Children are invited to join the Worship Service for the Children's Message that is included in the service.  After their message, children will be excused to go to their Children in Worship Curriculum. 

Children and parents can check in at Young Hall #3.  Children will be placed in the appropriate class and parents leaving their babies in the nursery will be provided with pagers.  All are welcome!

God Loves Me Preschool Curriculum

Our goals for the God Loves Me Program are:

  to foster in young children an eagerness to learn about God.

  to acquaint young children with the stories of Scripture, especially those that focus on Jesus.

  to help young children know and experience the loving care of our great God.

  to help young children experience a warm and nurturing place to learn about God.

At the heart of this program is a series of fifty-two Bible storybooks written and beautifully illustrated for all preschoolers.

Children in Worship Curriculum

This program involves helping children worship in a special place apart from the worshiping congregation so they become able to worship meaningfully with the congregation.  It is an exciting way to help these children experience God while learning about God.

While we believe that young children should be included in Sunday Worship, we are aware that most congregations dismiss them for part if not all of the service.  This curriculum allows for a way to be in worship with young children.  It is a way that both you and your children can grow in love for God and for one another.  It uses a sensor motor style of storytelling as a primary means for encountering God, so God is experienced, not just learned about.  It gives appropriate freedom, so young children can respond to stories of God through continued working with the story figures and art materials.  It enables young children to bring their lived experiences into dialogue with God in the biblical stories.  And, remarkably, it provides a way for young children to tell the stories of God to others.
